Charles Meiers
1953 – 2012

Charles “Chuck” Meiers, 58, of St Petersburg, Fla., on Feb. 23, 2012.

Chuck was born on Nov. 10, 1953, to the late John (Jack) Meiers and Mary Meiers. He currently lived in St. Petersburg, Fla., and was a former resident of Kenosha. He graduated from Tremper and Gateway. In 1977, he married Cathy Savaglio. Chuck served his country in the Navy as a Petty Officer Second Class - USS Seattle. He had been employed by ComEd and Exelon. Chuck was a member of the American Legion and VFW.

He enjoyed watching sports including the Brewers and the Packers, and spending time enjoying the sand and sun in Florida.

Chuck is survived by his son, Matt (Stacey) Meiers; siblings, Raymond Meiers and Robert (Cathy) Meiers all of Kenosha, Mary Lou (Susan Boyles) Meiers of Barrie, Ontario, Canada, Mary Ann (Lloyd) Davis of Orlando, Fla., Norma (Steven) Buskirk of Paris, Wis., Carol (Michael) Leibhan of Kenosha, Jacqueline Waring of Kenosha and Carol Lea (Doug) Kennedy of St. Petersburg, Fla. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jane in 1996; mother in 2002, his brother, Ed in 2008, and his father, in 2010.

Memorial Services will be on March 9, 2012, at 12:45 p.m. at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL. Interment at Bay Pines National Center.
